OCMaker AI

Anime character, image, and short-video generator that aggregates third-party image and video models

OCMaker AI is a browser platform for anime-style characters and short films. It bundles character creation, a character reference sheet, text-to-image and image editing, image-to-video, and an AI Story tool that turns an original character and a genre into a short with script, scenes, voices, lip-sync and subtitles. It routes generations to third-party models (Seedream, Nano Banana, GPT Image, Kling, Veo 3.1, Seedance, Wan and others), so the underlying model is a per-generation choice.

Why it stands out

What makes OCMaker AI different

  1. 01

Anime-specific toolset in one place: sketch simplification, line art coloring, photo-to-anime, manga and comic panel generation, and a character reference sheet tool.

  2. 02

Model aggregator: one account reaches Seedream, Nano Banana, GPT Image, Midjourney, Flux Kontext, Kling, Veo 3.1, Seedance, Wan, Hailuo, Runway and Vidu, so you can test the same character prompt across several models.

  3. 03

Character-first workflow: Character Creator, pose and dance controls and storyboard tools are built around one original character rather than a generic prompt box.

  4. 04

Lower-friction than running the underlying APIs yourself, but you pay the platform's token markup and get no API access to build on top of it.

The Feature

About OCMaker AI

OCMaker AI is aimed at anime and manga creators, VTuber designers and storyboard artists. Its core is character work: a Character Creator, a Character Reference Sheet tool, pose and dance controls, and an AI Storyboard. From there the platform covers still generation (text-to-image, image-to-image, generative fill, remove object, expand image), image-to-video and text-to-video, and a set of anime utilities such as sketch simplification, line art coloring, photo-to-anime and an upscaler.

What changed in 2026 is mostly the breadth of the model lineup and the addition of the AI Story pipeline. The homepage now lists Seedream 5.0, Nano Banana 2.1, GPT Image 2.5, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 alongside older Kling, Hailuo and Runway options. The homepage also says the AI Story tool produces a genre-based anime short with a script you review before filming. I could not find an independent write-up of AI Story, so treat it as a claim from the vendor until tested.

For a film or video workflow, the useful part is character consistency and pre-production: building a model sheet, posing it, storyboarding panels, then animating stills into short clips. It is not a timeline editor or a camera-control tool, and it has no published API. Pricing is freemium, but the paid plan prices are not visible in any page I could fetch, and the Terms of Service describe a token-based system rather than credits.

The Verdict

When to reach for it — and when to skip

Reach for it when…

  • One account reaches many image and video models, so a character can be tested across several engines
  • Anime-specific tools such as line art coloring and sketch cleanup save time in pre-production
  • Character reference and pose tools help with the consistency problem across panels and shots
  • Free tier lets you test generations before paying

Skip it when…

  • Paid plan prices and token allowances are not published on any page I could read, so the real cost is hard to predict
  • Commercial-use rights are not stated in the Terms or on the pricing page
  • Operator is a Hong Kong-based company with no published legal entity name or postal address
  • Model-of-record is unclear: the homepage has two different model lists (a banner and the main list) with no explanation
  • Anime and character focus means little use for live-action or photoreal work

Best For

✓ Ideal for

  • Designing an original anime or VTuber character and building a model sheet with pose variants
  • Storyboarding a manga or comic page, then animating key panels into short clips
  • Testing one character prompt across several image models before committing to a style
  • Quick anime short-film prototypes (AI Story) to pitch a script before a real production

✗ Not built for

  • Live-action, documentary or photoreal commercial work
  • Teams that need an API, MCP server or shared project workspace
  • Projects that need confirmed commercial rights before the rights terms are published
Field Notes

Working Tips from Filmmakers Using OCMaker AI

  1. 01 Build the character sheet and pose set first, then reuse those references in every generation so the look holds across shots.
  2. 02 Generate the same shot in two or three of the listed video models and compare before paying; tokens are spent per generation.
  3. 03 Check the Terms and the ocmaker.ai contact address for commercial rights before using output in a paid project.
