Questions about the Favicon Generator
What sizes are generated?
favicon.ico (16/32/48px multi-resolution), favicon-16x16.png, favicon-32x32.png, apple-touch-icon.png (180x180), android-chrome-192x192.png, android-chrome-512x512.png, plus a manifest.json that references them. Drops straight into Next.js / Astro / etc.
Should I use ICO or PNG?
Both. Modern browsers prefer PNG (sharper at non-standard pixel densities), but IE and some old crawlers still expect /favicon.ico. The generator outputs both — link both in your HTML head.
Free?
Yes — no signup, runs in-browser, no watermark on the output.
