About this tool
What is the Color Palette Extractor?
Drop any image and the Color Palette Extractor pulls the 5-8 most visually dominant colors and presents them as a clean palette with hex codes, RGB values, and a copy-ready CSS custom-properties block.
Useful for matching brand colors from a logo, building a film LUT from a reference still, or pulling a palette from an AI-generated image to use in your own design work. Browser-only — image never uploaded.

Questions about the Color Palette Extractor
How does it pick the colors?
K-means clustering on the image's pixel data — it groups visually similar pixels together and surfaces the cluster centers as the dominant colors. You can adjust how many colors to return (3-12).
Can I copy the palette as CSS?
Yes — one button copies a CSS custom-properties block ready to paste into your stylesheet: `--brand-1: #...; --brand-2: #...;` etc. Also exports as JSON, Tailwind config, or .ase (Adobe Swatch Exchange).
Free?
Yes. Free, no signup, no watermark on the palette swatches. Runs entirely in your browser.
