Suno Launches Album Playlists to Group Generated Tracks

Suno introduced album curation, allowing users to compile individual generated songs into structured, multi-track releases. This feature helps filmmakers and music creators organize soundtracks, build cohesive background playlists, and share complete audio projects.

Suno

Suno, the AI music generation platform, launched a new album curation feature that allows users to organize individual generated tracks into cohesive, multi-song collections. This update shifts the platform from a single-track sandbox into a structured publishing tool, letting creators package their generated music under unified titles, artwork, and descriptions. The change addresses a long-standing organization issue for creators managing large libraries of generated audio.

What's new

The album feature on Suno enables users to select up to 20 generated tracks and compile them into a single, shareable album. Creators can customize the album cover art using Suno's built-in image generator or by uploading their own custom designs. Additionally, the platform allows for custom album descriptions and track sequencing, giving creators full control over the playback order.

As of March 2025, these albums are fully public and shareable via direct links, making it easier to distribute complete soundtracks or themed music packs. The update also introduces a dedicated "Albums" tab on user profiles, separating multi-track projects from loose, individual generations.

How it fits your workflow

For filmmakers, video editors, and game developers, Suno's album compilation feature simplifies asset management. Instead of sending clients or collaborators dozens of individual audio links, editors can now compile an entire project soundtrack or temp-track library into a single, organized album. This workflow mirrors professional music distribution and reduces the friction of sharing audio assets.

In terms of market alternatives, Suno's album feature directly competes with Udio's playlisting tools. While Udio has historically offered strong social sharing and playlisting capabilities, Suno's dedicated album format provides a more polished, release-ready presentation. This makes Suno a stronger option for creators who want to package background music, podcast intros, or soundscapes into structured, thematic bundles. It also serves as a useful alternative to manual organization in local folders or external cloud storage.

What it costs / how to try it

The album creation feature is available to all Suno users, including those on the free tier, as of March 2025. Paid subscribers (Pro and Premier tiers) retain the commercial rights to the tracks compiled within their albums, provided the tracks were generated during an active subscription. Users can create albums directly from their library page by selecting multiple tracks and clicking "Create Album."
