Unlike traditional text-to-video generators that produce static, pre-rendered video clips, GWM Worlds 2 streams continuous visual environments that update dynamically as a user inputs navigation commands. The system pairs continuous video output with responsive, synchronized audio generation.

Runway built GWM Worlds 2 to handle low-latency environment generation while maintaining spatial consistency across movement. Key technical capabilities include:

  • Continuous 720p video: Streams video output at 1280x720 resolution at 24 frames per second.
  • Low-latency interaction: Updates scene perspective, geometry, and lighting in direct response to directional keyboard or controller inputs.
  • Synchronized high-fidelity audio: Generates 48,000 Hz spatial audio simultaneously with the visual stream, adjusting ambient sound and acoustic reverberation based on where the user moves.
  • Physics and spatial persistence: Retains environmental structures, textures, and depth relationships when turning away from an area and returning to it.
