Save and Reuse Creative Workflows with New Skills Feature

Hedra's new Skills update addresses the challenge of character consistency in AI video production. By saving specific combinations of images and voices, creators can now build a library of reusable assets.

Hedra

Hedra has launched a feature called Skills, designed to solve the problem of repeatability in AI-driven character animation. For filmmakers and content creators, the ability to replicate a specific look and sound across multiple shots is essential for narrative continuity. This update allows users to save their most effective combinations of character imagery and voice settings into a dedicated library for instant recall.

What's new

The Skills feature functions as a preset manager for the Hedra interface. When you find a combination of a character face and a specific vocal tone that works, you can now save it as a named Skill. This eliminates the need to re-upload images or re-configure voice parameters every time you start a new session.

Key capabilities include:

  • One-click saving of the current character and voice configuration.
  • A dedicated library tab to manage and organize saved workflows.
  • The ability to quickly swap between different saved personas while maintaining the same script or audio input.
  • Streamlined creation of recurring characters for episodic content or branded series.

How it fits your workflow

For creators working on long-form projects or social media series, Hedra now functions more like a traditional production asset manager. Previously, maintaining character consistency required manual tracking of prompts, seed numbers, and source files. With Skills, an editor can build a cast of characters and ensure that the protagonist in scene one looks and sounds identical to the protagonist in scene ten.

Animators and social media creators will find this particularly useful for rapid prototyping. If you are producing a series of talking-head videos, you can save your brand's "avatar" as a Skill and simply feed it new scripts. This moves Hedra closer to the utility found in tools like Character Animator or Reallusion’s ecosystem, but with the speed of generative AI. It reduces the friction of the "blank page" by allowing you to start from a proven baseline rather than starting from scratch for every clip.

What it costs / how to try it

The Skills feature is integrated directly into the Hedra web interface. Users can access their saved library by logging into their account and navigating to the new Skills tab. Specific pricing tiers for storage or the number of saved Skills are available on the Hedra website.
